Description
This used Maxitherm 10MW Natural Gas Fired Steam Boiler was manufactured by Maxitherm Boilers Pty Ltd, Sydney, Australia, in 1996. Originally supplied to a dairy processing facility in Cobden, Victoria, the boiler was later relocated to a major dairy processing plant in Maffra, Victoria, where it operated reliably as a 30 Bar process steam boiler, despite its original 40 Bar design pressure, until the factory ceased production in 2023.
Designed as a true 10MW industrial packaged steam boiler, the unit features a stainless-steel economiser, modernised controls, and upgraded boiler feedwater pumps, making it an attractive solution for large dairy, food, beverage and industrial processing plants requiring high-capacity steam generation.
Throughout its service life the boiler underwent annual statutory inspections, with all preparation and maintenance completed to support inspections by ALS, ensuring a well-maintained operating history.
The boiler is offered complete with its replacement stainless-steel economiser, which was installed several years ago. Unlike many boiler packages where the quoted output includes heat recovered from the economiser, this Maxitherm is rated as a true 10MW boiler, meaning the economiser provides additional fuel efficiency rather than contributing to the nominal steam output.
The boiler remains installed at its current location and is available for inspection by appointment. This provides prospective purchasers with the opportunity to assess the boiler in situ, review its condition and installation, and inspect the associated ancillary equipment prior to dismantling.
