Who’s behind Machinery World?

Paul Crowter

Managing Director


Paul has spent the entirety of his profession career in the dairy equipment industry and established Machinery World 1999 after recognising a gap in the market for high quality and value for money second-hand equipment.

Jonathon Crowter

Commercial Director & International Sales


Jonathon has been a key member of the Machinery World team since 2011. As Commercial Director, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction and operational management alongside Paul (MD). Additionally, he oversees International Sales, driving global business growth and client engagement.

Claudia Michaelis

Business Development Manager (Europe)


Claudia is responsible for sourcing and buying second-hand machinery in Europe. Being multilingual she provides support with overseas activities, including monitoring and overseeing projects and liaising with Italian suppliers.

Tim Darvill (BEng, CEng, MIMechE)

Head of UK Sales/Procurement (Dairy)


Tim’s background is in FMCG and has worked in the dairy industry for the last 10 years. A chartered engineer and project manager, Tim is responsible for the UK dairy industry business, both buying machinery and advising customers on new machinery capex projects.

Arun Jacob (B.Engg, M.Sc, M.B.A)

Business Development Manager


With over 15 years of experience in the international sales of food and dairy processing machinery, as well as expertise in website management and CRM design, Arun is responsible for developing sales of both new and used processing machinery across all industry sectors in the UK and Ireland.

Mark Youds

Global Sourcing Associate


Mark joined Machinery World as a Global Sourcing Associate having spent 48 years working within the Confectionery and Dairy Industries. He specialises in Supply Chain , Project Transformation & Operations leadership having held a number of senior Director roles with major companies including Dairy Crest & Saputo. He also runs his own business consultancy with his wife, Angie. Mark is now helping us identify equipment sourcing opportunities on a Global scale.

Daniel Schmit

Global Sourcing Associate


Daniel is our global sourcing associate for butter processing. Daniel started his career with a famous French dairy called Elle&Vire. After spending 2 years in the R&D department, he managed the butter plant for 6 years. Then he went to Simon Frères as a sales engineer and after being the sales director, was the managing director for the last 8 years. Now, he’s involved on purchasing used equipment in France.

Steve Henshall

UK Sales Manager (Ice cream)


Steve has worked in the ice cream machine supply industry for over 25 years, with his friendly and open attitude he is well respected everywhere. In the past Steve has commissioned, repaired and serviced all manner of machinery giving him the in depth knowledge to recommend the best machine for any application.

Zakk Hill

UK Ice Cream National Account Manager


Bringing over 10 years of Sales & Account Management experience with him Zakk is our UK National Account Manager for all things Ice Cream. Whether it’s buying or selling Ice Cream Machinery, Zakk works closely with Steve to ensure our customers and clients have exactly what they need to deliver a quality Ice Cream product.

Rekha Tailor (FCCA, MAAT)

Finance Director


Rekha, a Chartered Certified Accountant and member of a professional body, has 30 years of progressive finance experience, including many in leadership roles. Currently working closely with Paul, the Managing Director at Machinery World, Rekha oversees all financial operations, management reporting, and strategy implementation while leading a finance team and fostering their development.

Rebecca Crowter

Finance and Administration Officer


Rebecca has been with Machinery World since 2005 and is currently responsible for all bookkeeping activities as well as liaising with customers and suppliers regarding accounts.

Holly Harvey (Mkt BA Hons)

Marketing and Communications Executive


Holly is a Marketing and Advertising Communications graduate with a First-Class Bachelor’s degree as well as a year's placement in industry. Active in the marketing field since 17, she collaborates with Paul and Jonathon to develop and execute commercial strategies across the three businesses. Holly oversees marketing, PR, and events, leveraging her expertise to create impactful campaigns and drive brand success.

Gilbert DeVogel

Engineering Manager


Gilbert originally joined Machinery World in 2007 as a warehouse coordinator and now manages spares sales under Parts Station (formerly DairyBits), supplying customers with quality spares for dairy machines and ice cream equipment at competitive prices worldwide. In 2023, Gilbert transitioned into the role of engineering manager, diligently coordinating workshop operations and offering advice and support to customers.

Tertius Syfert

Senior Service Engineer


'T' as we call him, has been an engineer in the dairy industry for over 30 years. He brings valuable process and machinery knowledge to Machinery world. His current role includes designing new systems using CAD software as well as manufacturing, servicing and commissioning new and used machinery worldwide.

Russell Jex

Senior Service Engineer


As a qualified and experienced electrical, mechanical and refrigeration engineer, Russell is responsible for commissioning, servicing and repairing machinery for clients here in the UK and worldwide.

Christopher Wilson

Service Engineer


As a qualified and experienced electronic, fabricator and mechanical engineer, Chris’s responsibilities are commissioning, servicing and repairing machinery for clients here in the UK and worldwide.

Martin Alexander

Service Engineer


As Machinery World’s workshop engineer, Martin has been in charge of manufacturing components, part fabrication, welding and servicing and reconditioning machines and plants since he joined in 2011.

Esther Crowter

Trainee Technical Sales Administrator


Esther efficiently handles customer enquiries, provides technical support, processes orders and payments, raises proformas and invoices, and manages paperwork for Parts Station. She updates customer records, checks stock, and reorders supplies. Collaborating with coworkers, she ensures they have necessary items for workshop tasks and service visits. Additionally, Esther organises deliveries and provides reliable after-sales support to maintain customer satisfaction.

Monika Fojtova

Transport Coordinator


Monika has been working in logistics since 2015 and joined Machinery World in 2021. Monika will always find the best way to deliver machines to customers in Europe or Worldwide.

Daniel Stasiak

Warehouse Manager


Daniel's primary responsibility as a Warehouse Manager is to ensure an organised and efficient warehouse environment. He works closely with the MW team to effectively manage priorities, oversee goods-in and goods-out processes, and prepare machines for dispatch. Daniel also coordinates with the workshop to ensure smooth operations. Furthermore, he prepares and photographs machines for the website, maintains accurate records, and monitors stock levels diligently.

Alex Artenie

Warehouse Operative


Alex, a warehouse operator and forklift driver, manages inventory, organises storage, and ensures the safe transportation of machines. Alex also assists in receiving deliveries and conducting quality checks. With expertise in operating forklifts, Alex efficiently moves both light and heavy equipment and machinery, contributing to streamlined operations and improved customer satisfaction.
